One-day-Job
Posted by Danielle @ Wed 02 May, 07, 12:04AM under A-d@y-Out

Lion & me went back to Kluang for 3N2D to celebrate for my mum's & newphew's birthday. Guess what, we were also luncy enough to get our passport done on 30/Apr.

We both are extremely impressed by the new system of producing a new passport. It was done in 3 hours and we do not need to take another day off for the collection which the government really deserves 2 thumbs up for the efficiency.

In addition, you can also see some banners hang in the office & some tags worn by the officers which promote "Servis dengan Senyuman Program". This is also a good news as those officers are looking more friendly & helpful when you approach them. Guess what, you can even get the service evaluation form from the counter if you are interested in giving feedback to their service.

If you are planning to renew/make a passport, here is a checklist which might be useful:-

1. Immigration office opens at 8am. As to ensure you can get the passport done on the same day, pls wake up earlier in order to get a good number for the queue. (Sharing: If you are in a hurry, even you are able to get a good number for the queue, pls remember to ask whether they are able to complete your application on the same day before you pay for it.)

2.Two pieces of passport size photos and both of the photos should be in the same pattern. (Sharing: We didn't really prepare for the photos when we went to the immigration. I was lucky enough to dig out 2 pieces photos from my purse, whilst Lion was forced to spend RM12 to take some new photos for the passport. The photo background HAS TO BE in blue.)

3. One piece of photostated IC with front & back view.

4. Application is only acceptable if you have an valid address in that state which you apply for the passport. (Sharing: Since we settle down in Penang, we put Penang address in the application form initially. However, we were told by the officer that we have to put Kluang address as the application is made in Kluang branch. Luckily, I can still remember my hometown address.)

5. Most importantly, pls bring RM300 if you are planning to make a 32-pages passport.

This is one of the improvement that I have personally experienced in this country. I do look forward to seeing more to come :O)
Malaysia, pls prove to me that you are really BOLEH!

2nd Day of CNY
Posted by Danielle @ Mon 19 Feb, 07, 11:03PM under A-d@y-Out
This is my 1st time spending CNY in Penang with my hubby & in-laws family.
It is the 2nd day of Boar Lunar Month, I went for a show with Lion at Queensbay Mall (QBM).
I was planning to watch "Music & Lyrics" (although I'm not sure of whhether it's gonna be a nice show) but due to the show time will be a lil bit late, we chose to watch a HongKee 18PL show "Protege" instead.

Due to It is our 1st time having movie at GSC QBM, we can hardly find the "hidden" cinema. After 10-15mins of queueing, we got the "Protege" ticket for 2. I am surprised to hear that ticketing lady emphasized on "This show is strictly for ppl who are 18 & above". Did she mean I am still looking like a teenage-age lil gal? haha..

On the other hand, it's quite funny to hear the cinema announcer to remind the audience not to bring any recording devices. In order to strengthen the rule, GSC has assigned security guards to check all guests' handbag or backpack at the cinema entrance as to ensure there is no one break the rule.

Meaning of Protege:
Mentorship refers to a developmental relationship between a more experienced mentor and a less experienced partner referred to as a mentee or protégé.

Scene that worthy to see:
1. The elderly look of Andy Lau. This makes me really curious of whether this international idol has started to grow grey hair in his real life? Anyway, he is still looking smart & charming with his drug lord character in the show. In addition, you can also see Andy speak Mai-Long-Song-Zai in the show.

2. Daniel Wu who shows-off his nicely bulit muscle as usual in the show.

3. Louis Koo is the one who really surprises me with his yellowish bad teeth. I can't believe he has sacrificed his hadnsome look to cater for this drug addict character. He's really cool.

4. Another guest in the show is Anita Yuen. I can't remember when was my last time seeing her acting. Was she really pregnant during acting this show? She really looks like 100% housewife in the show. More flesh she has gained during these years.

New Deco
Posted by Danielle @ Sun 21 May, 06, 11:12PM under It's my life
IKEA is always our favourite place when we visit to KL.
It's been a year plus since we moved in to our apartment.
We have bought some deco stuff from IKEA during the trip we went to Ikan's wedding.

I always feel our dining area is too empty & blank as we have a clean wall without any decoration. We have added a wooden white rack + some mirrors + a pair of lacey white curtains to decorate our dining area. I think if we can put some dim yellowish spot lights underneath the white wooden rack, it will be more romantic.

Sorry about the messy dining table :p

The other thing that we bought are 2 metal boards which we had put on our study room wall. It'll be used as a message board. We will stick all imporatant notes on the boards.

Well.. now planning to get some furniture for the guest room.
Hopefully can get the guest room furnished by the time we get married. :o)

Dear Jackpot Santa
Posted by Danielle @ Tue 28 Mar, 06, 10:47PM under It's my life

Dear Jackpot Santa,
Thanks for paying us a visit on 27/Mar/2006 and you had done a good job by giving us a big surprise.

I thought Santa will only work on Christmas eve and some handworking ones might work during Xmas week, I didn't expect that we received your early Xmas visit in March 2006 instead of December 2006.

I don't know where is your office address, and I don't know how to email or write in a letter to a Bangla Jackpot Santa, so I decided to send in my warmest regards here and hope you will read it someday in your cursing life:-

Without your vist, I wouldn't know how Santa broke in ppl house.

Without your viist, I wouldn't take Emergency Leave which will also affect my next year bonus matrix.

Without your visit, my [wedding rings] wouldn't have an early chance to be worn on ppl fingers. [To my ex-wedding-rings: Take good care of yourselves and make sure you bring the most cursing wish to the Jackpot Santa]

Without your visit, achew wouldn't have chance to stop DOTA-ing for few days.

Without your visit, achew wouldn't have chance to look for his next Nikon camera.

Without your visit, I would not have chance to dispose off my old laptop and PDA.

Without your visit, we wouldn't have chance to zzz in 4am on 28/Mar.

Thanks for not messing up my house when you were searching for your targets.

Thanks for spoiling my door lock, without you, we wouldn't have an excuse to change the lock.

Oh, my "Hendrix-Cursing" Bonggol Bangla Jackpot Santa, I thought Santa's mission is to bring happiness to ppl. I think your were in a hurry when you came to my house and made you forgot to leave some gifts to us and I will feedback to B.B.S.A.I. online [Bonggol Bangla Santa Association Internaltional] and hopefully they will improve their Bangla Santa service level next time. Another thing is, the muddy shopping bag that you left in my study room, I guess you will not need it anymore as you've already mistaken achew RM300 Lowepro camera bag in your last visit. However, we gave it to the CSI and begged them to try their best to return this shopping bag to you in the court.

Thank you with cursing regards,
Dan

Screw the Amos "Cookies"...
Posted by Danielle @ Thu 09 Mar, 06, 10:16PM under It's my life
Wholly Sh*t!

Before I went home this evening, I had done a wrong choice by answering a stupid call. Who does he think he is and why the heck he can't talk in a nicer manner when asking ppl for a favour?

Yelling over the phone :"Hey, I dun care, just gimme the solution by tomorrow morning!!" Some more, without a reasonbale second thought, even instructed me :"Hey, I dun care how late you work, since they are in U.S., then you might as well stay back tonight to have conference call with them la!!"

Guess what he did next? After 5 mins barking at me like a stray dog, that Bangla from Ponggol even gave a call to my manager & shouting at her, saying that if no solution by next morning, he will escalate the whole thing to our Director...
Come la, Ponggol Bangla... I dun scare of you at all.. ask your whole gang of members to come la.. I will ask my Tutu & Hendrix to standby any time ... come la... $*@&$&%#*&$
Screw you, crazy Bangla!
Do you know any "AMOS" at your working place?

Langkawi Trip in Feb'2006
Posted by Danielle @ Wed 08 Mar, 06, 11:43PM under Travel
Me & my gal mates went to Langkawi on 18/Feb & 19/Feb.
In fact, due to we work in same dept, chances for us to take leaves & travelling together is very low. That's why we purposely opt for weekends to go there.

We did not book the hotel before we went, so can't really find a vacant room which is located at the seaside. The place that we stay is called "Sandy Beach Resort", not a very nice place but quite cheap. It costs only RM77/room for 3 ppl to share and it is inclusive 3 breakfast in this package price.

This is the outside view of that little "hotel" that we rented.

Breakfast at "Sandy Beach Resort"

Ppl busy picking sea shells from the beach.
I would love to try this next time. It is built on tree top. The hotel is called "Malibest"

We went to Langkawi aquarium (RM28 for entry fee), Mahsuri Tomb, Beach, some duty free shops, Anna & the King musuem...

Initially I was suggesting to have some drinks on first nite, so I bought some beer, who knows everyone were too tired & straight away zzzzzzzz after reaching the resort at night. So, I have to bring those drinks back to PG.

This is new to me.... Red Wine in Canned.

And I bought this for Tutu.. as he loves cats..

We had our early celebration for Valentine's Day at Seoul Garden Gurney Plaza. We were initially planning to have Japanese buffet but somehow our favourite restaurant has already closed down [the Rasa Sayang Hotel Japanese restaurant], we changed our mind to have BBQ buffet instead.

Yummy Yummy & not too expensive :)

I thought that will be the end of my Valentine's Day celebration, who knows Achew gave me a small surprise on last night by putting a tissue holder on my table in the bedroom. I think this present is more realistic & useful, as I always get runnig nose in the middle of the night & could not find tissue box for mucus. Here I have no worry anymore :)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO MY DARLING ~~ I LOVE YOU~~ ^.^ ^.^ ^.^
